As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, how has RCI demonstrated inclusion or made you feel welcome?
For a corporate company, I am respected and rewarded for my talents and not who I love. From the moment I first walked into the doors of RCI; I felt safe, wanted, celebrated, and because of that I was able to shine and be rewarded with many memorable trips that I never thought I would be able to do. I have been awarded a lot of money and prizes. Never once have been asked to hide who I am and being myself because of that, it has carried over into my calls with members to give them the best service I am truly able to give.
If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Slow down, everything does not have to be that much of a hurry, you will find out that your family does truly love you. There are going to be some bumps in the road but you are going to meet some amazing people who are going to help mold you into doing things you never thought you could ever do.
How do you support or connect with other LGBTQ+ people in your community?
Being part of the LGBTQ+ community for many many years (“sometimes I feel like it has been since the pyramids were erected, hahaha”). I stay connected through social media, local establishments and a deep and tight friendship who have become family I have developed over time.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to spend time with my close friends either relaxing in social and home settings, I enjoy streaming fun shows/movies, visit my mom and family, and always when I have plenty of time is to travel and experience the benefits RCI has to offer.
